E’ il concetto più alto di formula pro-
pedeutica. Dal 1964 ad oggi la For-
mula 3 è la scuola più prestigiosa per
i piloti avviati al professionismo. Un
concetto che pur ha subito le imitazioni
più sfrontate, ma che a differenza dei
falsi, anche “falsi d’autore”, resiste al
tempo con lo stesso fascino e con tut-
ta la sua identità. L’evoluzione è sta-
ta costante, sempre più raffinata, ma

perché si deve all’iniziativa di un ita-
liano, l’ing. Giovanni Lurani, alla nasci-
ta Giovanni Lurani Cernuschi, Conte di
Calvenzano. Fu lui a concepire la For-
mula Junior. L’idea, come lo stesso Lura-
ni spiega in “Storia delle macchine da
corsa” (L’Editrice dell’Automobile, Auto-

An all-Italian concept and idea which
has been applied throughout the wor-
ld. Italian because it’s by the initiative
of an Italian, Eng. Giovanni Lurani, at
birth Giovanni Lurani Cernuschi, Earl of
Calvenzano. It was him who conceived
the Formula Junior. The idea, as the
